Our Identity & Purposes

From the Heart , for Humanity

HEART (Humanitarian Empowerment and Relief Team) is a voluntary, independent, non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization based in Sudan. Founded by experienced professionals, HEART is committed to delivering ethical, sustainable, and locally led humanitarian responses in times of crisis and beyond. Guided by international humanitarian law and national regulations, HEART works to empower vulnerable communities through integrated interventions in relief, health, education, protection, and livelihoods. Our mission is rooted in dignity, resilience, and inclusive development. HEART’s visual identity reflects its values: a red heart containing a world map symbolizes global compassion; a glowing candle sheltered inside a humble tent represents hope, learning, and protection in the darkest moments. Together, they embody our commitment to humanity—wherever it is needed most.
